-2008 : GREEN MILK FROM THE PLANET ORANGE was formed in 2001 by dead k, A, and the initial bass player, Benjian, in Tokyo, Japan. The first two demos were recorded with this lineup, and in 2003, the second bass player, T(aka Wolf, ex-Acid Mothers Temple, now in Folk Enough), joined the band. The debut full-length album was recorded in Milwaukee, WI, USA, and Tokyo. Beta-lactam Ring Records in Portland, OR, released it in 2004. The band embarked on two US west coast tours in 2004.
In 2005, the band created the second full album, "City Calls Revolution," at Headgear Studio in Brooklyn, NY, with Paul Mahajan. This marked the beginning of a substantial US tour, with five iterations until 2007. After the spring US tour in 2007, the band lost the second bass player, T, leading to a hiatus until the summer of 2008. Margarette H became the third bass player in mid-2008, and the band resumed performances in Tokyo. However, drummer A decided to leave GMFTPO soon after, prompting another pause at the end of 2008. Margarette H left the band to focus on his project, 88kasyo Junrei.
In 2015, dead k invited A to join him in his own band called LOA, where Damo, the bass player, was also part of the lineup. A, known for his drumming in Sajjanu and Lagitagida after GMFTPO, took on a new role within this musical collaboration.
LOA, with this lineup, released an EP in the spring. Subsequently, GMFTPO decided to restart with Damo as the fourth bass player. They created the new song "Phoenix" and resumed live performances from December.
The band performed numerous shows and tours across Japan.
In January and February, they embarked on their first US tour in 11 years. March and April saw a tour in Western Japan. In August, they toured the Czech Republic and Germany, marking their inaugural European tour. In September, they played two shows in Taiwan, their first time performing in another Asian country besides Japan.
In April, they released the new album "Third" from Inferior Planet Records, NY, after 14 years. They were invited to Desert Fest NYC to play and undertook a US tour following the album release.
In March, their first significant European tour was booked by YA YA YEAH in Portugal but was canceled due to the COVID-19 situation. In July, they were invited to the online Life Is Shit festival in Las Vegas, USA, where their "ABRAXUS" live video was featured. In December, their new song, "HUNDREDS OF DOWNERS DAWN," was included in "MITOHOS" V.A. by Deaf Touch Records, LA, USA.
In May, they embarked on a western Japan tour.
In May, they undertook a US West Coast tour with 13 shows. In August and September, they embarked on a European tour with 18 shows in 10 countries organized by Ya Ya Yeah Music. In October, they had a short Western Japan tour.
In March and April, they released a split LP "LET'S SPLIT(裂けても)" with Fuckwolf (San Francisco) by Silver Current Records (CA, USA) and embarked on a tour with them in Japan.
