Wer sind wir? Who we are

Die Stubnitz ist ein 80 Meter langes ehemaliges DDR-Fischereischiff von 1964, das 1992 in eine mobile Kulturplattform umgebaut wurde. Sie ist ein Zentrum für zeitgenössische Live-Musik, Clubkultur, Performances, Ausstellungen, Konferenzen – und bis heute seetüchtig.
Als Industriedenkmal, Kulturschiff und lebendiges Museum ist sie ein schwimmendes Zuhause für unterschiedliche Genres und Szenen. Die gemeinnützige Organisation wird von einem engagierten Team getragen, das diesen Raum für Kultur und Kreativität lebendig erhält und zugänglich macht.

The Stubnitz is an 80-meters-long former East German fishing vessel built in 1964 that was repurposed into a mobile cultural platform in 1992. It serves as a hub for contemporary live music, club culture, performances, exhibitions, and conferences—and remains seaworthy to this day.
As an industrial monument, culture vessel, and living museum, it serves as a floating home for diverse genres and scenes. The nonprofit organization is run by a dedicated team that keeps this space for culture and creativity alive and accessible.

Bis 2013 war sie in insgesamt 22 Städten im Nord- Ostseeraum unterwegs. Seither liegt die Stubnitz an wechselnden Orten in der Hafencity. Seit Oktober 2026 direkt am Baakenhöft (Cruise Center), unweit der Elbbrücken, Hafencity Universität und Elbphilharmonie. Until 2013, it traveled to a total of 22 cities in the North Sea and Baltic Sea regions. Since then, the Stubnitz has been moored at various locations in HafenCity in Hamburg. Since October 2026, it has been docked directly at Baakenhöft (Cruise Center), not far from the Elbe bridges, HafenCity University, and the Elbphilharmonie.

Unser Booking sucht nach genrefluiden, mutigen Sounds, markanten Stimmen, von leise bis laut, von subtil bis extrem. Bands und Acts, die in der Summe vielfältige Perspektiven, Communities, Sub- und Popkulturen in einem einzigartigen Setup repräsentieren. Konzerte werden zu immersiven Erlebnissen, die die Grenzen zwischen Publikum und Performance verschwimmen lassen. Our booking team seeks out genre-fluid, bold sounds and distinctive voices, ranging from soft to loud, from subtle to extreme. We look for bands and acts that represent diverse perspectives, communities, subcultures and pop culture in a unique setting. Concerts become immersive experiences that blur the lines between audience and performance.

In den Jahren 2013, 2017, 2018, 2021 und 2024 erhielt das MS Stubnitz den Bundespreis „Applaus“ für kulturell herausragendes Live-Musikprogramm. In 2013, 2017, 2018, 2021, and 2024, the MS Stubnitz received the national “Applaus” award for a culturally outstanding live music program.
