TRAD is invoked throughout the line-up with skill, heart and absurdist humour, but with irreverence at the core of this enterprise, the spectre of (Irish) tradition will be raised, to be claimed, owned and subverted, not humbly revered.
With parallel histories of independent space provision and DIY production, Spacecraft is a kindred terrestrial venture to MS Stubnitz’s maritime one. Both are collective creative projects with origins in cultures spawned at illegal raves, squats, and festivals. Operating by a different logic subtly removed from the realities of mainstream culture production, both The Stubnitz and Spacecraft constitute enduring if encircled, enclaves of relatively greater imaginary possibility where something wholly other may yet take place…

DISCLAIMER:
While we favour interactive formats and a high degree of audience engagement, this takes a conversational tone, focused on breaking the ‘fourth wall’ between stage and audience. It does NOT involve press-ganging unwilling members of the public into on-stage comedy at their own expense!
